Let me just say that hiking up a butte in -4 degree weather at 5:30am is no fun. This shot was definitely earned! This scene is from the left side of the Cinder Cone butte that's next to Mt. Bachelor. I would have turned around if it wasn't for my friend Jason egging me on. We both got rewarded with an amazing sunrise. You're looking at the Three Sisters and Broken Top with an old Juniper in the foreground.
